Organic Argan Oil is an oil derived from the fruits of the argan tree grown in Morocco. In the Moroccan-Berber dialect, it means ”argan” (keeping locked in). The Argan tree is an endemic species found on Earth only naturally in south-west Morocco, in very small quantities in the Tindouf region of Algeria. It is a tree with evergreen leaves and thorns that can be 10-12 meters long, has a life span of 150-200 years, is resilient to extreme drought and semi-desert climate, can descend to 30 meters below the ground with its roots. Argan oil is obtained by pressing hard kernels similar to almonds.
